As reported by numerous media outlets, D.C. deputy mayor for public safety and justice, Chris Geldart, has been suspended from duty pending an investigation into an assault charge in Arlington County. Geldart was charged by Arlington police with choking someone during a dispute outside of an Arlington gym on Saturday, Oct. 1.
